PILATES was developed by an acrobat for rehabilitation purposes. Dancers and athletes from all over the world have practiced Pilates to help correct any misalignments in the body and improve their performance. Pilates mat is a full body workout. It strengthens your entire core, lengthens muscles along the arms, legs and spine and aligns and stabilizes your entire torso while helping to correct posture.
YOGA is considered a moving meditation and there are several different kinds offered throughout the world. It is a physical, mental and emotional practice combining postures and poses with breath and meditation. The experience is individual and can change depending on the style and what you are looking for. For example, Vinyasa can be heated or not and is a flowing, more physically challenging practice while Yin uses longer holds for deep stretching and is considered more of a restorative practice.
BARRE combines ballet barre technique with the fundamentals of Pilates and Yoga for a full body workout with very little impact on your joints so any age group is able to participate and no previous dance experience is required. You will burn fat, tone and build muscles you didn’t even know existed all while keeping your heart rate up. You will be working all parts of your arms, legs, seat and core ending with a stretching section to help flush out toxins in the body and improve circulation.
Are you craving movement? It's time for action.
